Question : How many reasons are there for buying tickets ?

Answer : More than enough

The standard of acting and staging will be top-class. The 5 performers are professional actors/actresses, with experience at various commercial theatres in the UK.
The script is based largely on the events of the first Easter, and is dramatic and thought-provoking. Our minister Paul wrote recently that this is “a not-to-be-missed part of our lead-up to Easter 2009.”
The first performance of Redemption Song was on Good Friday 2008 in York Minster. It was admired so much that Riding Lights decided to take it on a national tour during Lent this year, and KMC is privileged to be one of the 27 venues (which include Peterborough Cathedral and York Minster).
Founded in York in 1977, Riding Lights now tours around the UK and abroad. Sharp comedy, innovative theatre and a broad Christian perspective have become the hallmarks of Riding Lights' work. The Company has written, devised and produced a wide range of original plays for stage and radio, as well as educational shows, TV scripts, musicals and numerous sketches throughout its 30 year history. In addition, it has been acclaimed for mainstream productions of classic plays and memorable stage adaptations of other literature. Whenever possible they take their shows into prisons.
In the brief breaks “between scenes” you’ll see and hear some of our own musicians play songs which link each section of the drama ; and you’ll be able to sing along.
You can invite your friends (you could even buy their ticket ?) to see drama and music at KMC without them having to sit through a sermon (oops, sorry Paul !). Suitable age-groups for drama are always a matter of personal opinion – for what it’s worth, I wouldn’t attempt to “sell” this production to most people below age 13.

Where else would you get all this, on your doorstep, and for just a “fiver”?

Tickets will be available during March from the KMC Office on weekday mornings.
